relieving pain and restoring motion of the hip joint. But, it is a major
surgery and there are high chances of related complications during surgery as
well as post surgery and not to forget that it’s an artificial joint. One
should consider this surgery only if all other treatment modalities have failed
or are not available or not appropriate.
2.
Knee Replacement Surgery:-Latest Knee replacement
surgery is known as arthroplasty. Knee replacement is the only treatment
which is available in Modern Allopathy or in Western approach it’s a costly
procedure as well as very complicated procedure. And it’s not even cures the
disease permanently. In most of the cases pain comes back within 3 months of
surgery. Replacement surgeries are the common surgeries of arthritis, among
these knee replacement is the most common.
3.
Synovial Fluid:-The synovial fluid works as
lubricants to the joint. It is found in between synovial membrane.

Ayurvedic
Arthritis Treatment
Ayurvedic and Modern Medicine treatment for Arthritis is totally different
in term of approach and cure. Ayurveda can effectively Reduce the
debilitating effects of chronic or severe arthritis.
It can also stop the progressive nature of the condition. With help of
Ayurvedic treatment. Arthritis of semi chronic type can be treated fully and
the diseased joint can brought back to its normal functioning condition. In
many cases, Ayurveda can actually offer a cure Because the disease
process is very well understood, Ayurvedic arthritis treatments can be applied
that effect change at the root cause of the disease.
In
Ayurveda, strengthening Agni and removing Ama is the immediate concern.
This is achieved by following a special diet that allows the Agni to become
stronger and the body to begin eliminating excess toxins. In fact, vast
improvements can be made in terms of inflammation, pain, swelling and stiffness
just by diligently following the correct diet.
Home
Remedies-
Along with
a well structured approach to diet, Ayurvedic arthritis home remedies can also
be very helpful, especially if the condition is not chronic or severe.
Ginger
- Dry
grind a mixture of 6 teaspoons of dried ginger, 6 teaspoons of caraway
seed powder and 3 teaspoons of black pepper powder. Take half a teaspoon
of this mixture along with water, thrice daily.
- Eating raw ginger on a regular basis can help to
alleviate pain by improving blood circulation. Simply peel and slice fresh
ginger and eat it along with each meal.
Apple Cider
Vinegar
- Take a cup of warm water.
- Mix one teaspoon each of apple cider vinegar and
honey in it.
- Drink this solution daily in the morning as it gives
an alkalizing effect.
·
Turmeric contains curcumin which has anti-inflammatory properties which
can reduce inflammation. It is quite effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis.
You can take numeric juice or a glass of milk mixed with turmeric powder.
Fenugreek
Seeds
·
Fenugreek seeds help in healing painful joints. The seeds can be soaked
in water in clean water overnight then chewed in the morning. They are usually
bitter but sweeten as you chew.
Honey
and Cinnamon
·
Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Cinnamon can
be mixed with honey and water then taken in the morning. A paste of cinnamon
and honey can be used to massage the affected area.
Olive
Oil
·
Virgin Olive oil
contains oleo central which inhibits cox-1 and cox-2 which are inflammatory
enzymes hence reduces pain and swelling. You can use the olive oil in cooking
your food in place of other oils.
Castor
Oil
·
Castor oil can also be used in place of other oil while cooking.
Effective home remedy
·
Castor oil (1 tsp taken before bed
with ginger tea), fenugreek (½ tsp of powder in warm water before
breakfast) and turmeric (1 tsp twice daily) are common household items and can
be very effective when taken consistently and in the correct way.
In the case
of rheumatoid arthritis, the emphasis should remain on a longer-term program of
Ama reduction, plus herbs that reduce inflammation and nourish Ojas in order to
correct the inappropriate immune response.
Ayurvedic
arthritis body therapies, such as Pindaswed, also help enormously with the
reduction of Ama, swelling, pain and inflammation.
But for the best possible results, Ayurveda’s unique deep cleansing and
rejuvenation process known as Panchakarma is essential. Panchakarma (which
means Five-Actions) will remove Ama and imbalanced Doshas from deep in the tissues
enabling progress to be made in a much shorter period of time and enormously
reducing the likelihood of any relapse.
From an Ayurvedic point of view, these forms of arthritis build in
the body for a long time before they become fully noticeable as ‘Arthritis’.
They are therefore considered chronic diseases and are usually well established
in the body by the time any treatment for them is sought.
Chronic
arthritis can be cured completely but one must have to be persistent as well as
should have patience because a complete course can be long duration (Avg. time
is 6 months but sometime upto 2 years) in Ayurveda.
Prevention
is the best cure, the best medicine for all of us is that of prevention –One
should follow lifestyle that supports strong Agni, reduced Ama and balanced
Dosha and seeking help from an Ayurveda when joint pain is still in
its earliest stages.
Please seek Doctor’s advice if symptoms persist, or are
severe or permanent even after complete course of home remedies you may be
suffering from serious illness.
